SAP Enablement Day: AI in Action – Hands-On Workshops (April 17, 2026)

Welcome to our on-site hands-on enablement session on AI in Action with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP)!

This event is designed for SAP partners, customers, and developers who want to gain practical, hands-on experience with SAP AI capabilities, tools, and services across development, extension, and operations scenarios.

The focus of the day is simple:

[workshop #1] Build AI-Powered Applications with SAP BTP & AI Core

• Introduction to SAP BTP landscape and pre-configured enablement environment.
• Understanding SAP AI Core and how to access generative AI models.
• Overview of SAP Cloud SDK for AI.

Hands-on:

• Exploring the provided SAP BTP Subaccount
• Deploying a sample application (RFQx Document Analysis App)
• Integrating the app with SAP AI Core
• Deploying the application on Cloud Foundry runtime
• Testing and exploring AI-powered features

• SAP AI Launchpad (standard plan)
• Cloud Foundry Runtime

[workshop #2] Extend Your Applications with AI (Joule & AI Agents)

• Introduction to AI extensibility patterns on SAP BTP
• Overview of Joule and Joule Studio capabilities
• Building AI agents / skills for business scenarios

Demos:

• Creating AI-powered extensions using SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA)
• Designing and testing AI agents with Joule
• Exploring real-life AI-assisted automation use cases

• Joule Studio

[workshop #3] Intelligent Day 2 Operations with AI (Day 2 Ops)

• Introduction to SAP Automation Pilot and SAP Cloud ALM for Ops scenarios
• Integration of SAP Automation Pilot and SAP Cloud ALM
• Enhancing operations with SAP AI Core-driven insights

Hands-on:

• Running automated operational scenarios across SAP BTP
• Integrating Automation Pilot with SAP Cloud ALM
• Using AI for analysis and recommendations on operational data
• Executing end-to-end remediation workflows

[additional demo] AI Ops Agents with SAP Automation Pilot and Joule:

• Creating MCP servers in SAP Automation Pilot
• Brining your MCP server into Joule Studio
• Building and releasing AI-enabled operations agents
• Using Joule and AI Ops Agents for intelligent decision-making

• 40 ready-to-use SAP BTP subaccounts for live hands-on exercises
• Real-time AI + operations integration scenarios

Prerequisites

To get the most out of this enablement day, please ensure:

• ✅ Access to an SAP BTP account (pre-provisioned for the session)
• ✅ Basic understanding of SAP BTP concepts and cloud applications
• ✅ Familiarity with REST APIs, cloud deployments, or automation concepts is a plus
• ✅ Laptop with stable internet connection and browser access
