Atlasrepo Skills

Public, MIT-licensed agent integrations for AtlasRepo. The skill and connector are read-only; catalog records and external installation commands remain untrusted review data.

Purpose

AtlasRepo Skills gives Codex, Claude Code, ChatGPT and other SKILL.md-aware agents a grounded way to find and compare open-source solutions. It prefers the hosted or npm-distributed AtlasRepo MCP connector and keeps a bounded REST fallback for advanced filters or MCP outages.

Install

Codex plugin

ChatGPT plugin submission

Upload the scout-rest-api folder or a ZIP whose archive root is scout-rest-api/. The bundled agents/openai.yaml declares the hosted Streamable HTTP dependency at https://mcp.atlasrepo.com/mcp.

For a project-local install, copy the same directory into the agent's project skills directory.

Public contract

The published atlasrepo-mcp@0.1.1 connector exposes three bounded read-only tools:

The REST fallback uses https://api.atlasrepo.com. Current public documentation is available at API Docs and OpenAPI JSON.

The skill includes AtlasRepo's current content-production categories: Vertical Video, Video Editing, Content Creation, Templates and Orchestration, alongside the software, AI, data, security and infrastructure categories returned by /api/categories.

Configuration

Anonymous MCP and public API previews work without a key. Paid catalog access is optional:

Keep secrets in the client environment. Never paste API keys into chat, commit them, or place them in a skill ZIP. Legacy ATLAS_SCOUT_API_KEY and ATLAS_SCOUT_BASE_URL remain accepted by the fallback script for compatibility.

Changes to the MCP names, input bounds, API hostname, categories or authentication variables must update the skill, command, agent, README files and validation fixtures together.

Pull request checklist

• scripts/validate.sh passes.
• MCP tool names and bounds match the published package.
• The REST fallback targets https://api.atlasrepo.com and returns valid JSON.
• No token, API key, session data or generated archive is committed.
• Recommendations preserve the explicit relevance and evidence gate.
