Setup
Clone and symlink to make all skills available to Claude Code:
git clone https://github.com/melanie531/claude-code-skills.git ~/repos/claude-code-skills
# Symlink into Claude Code's personal skills directory
ln -s ~/repos/claude-code-skills ~/.claude/skills
To pull updates on any machine:
cd ~/repos/claude-code-skills && git pull
Note: If
~/.claude/skillsalready exists, back it up or remove it before creating the symlink.

Adding a New Skill
- Create a new directory with a
SKILL.mdfile:mkdir -p ~/repos/claude-code-skills/my-new-skill # Create SKILL.md with frontmatter (name, description) and instructions - Commit and push:
cd ~/repos/claude-code-skills git add my-new-skill/ git commit -m "Add my-new-skill" git push - Pull on other machines:
cd ~/repos/claude-code-skills && git pull
