About Screen Readers MCP
Screen Readers MCP is an MCP server in the Cloud category: mCP server for AI-agent control of screen readers — drive gestures, capture speech/braille, and automate add-on testing. NVDA today; JAWS/TalkBack bridges planned.
Install
git clone https://github.com/marlon-sousa/screen-readers-mcpThis server has no ConduID identity, so agent calls to it are not receipted. Pin the version you install and review the source before granting it credentials.
Tools (4)
connect_readerOpens the session. Takes the reader name, a **capture mode** and a **persona** — all three required — and optionally `normalize` and a reader log level.
Parameters not published.
disconnect_readerEnds the session. The reader restores everything it changed.
Parameters not published.
list_readersThe readers this server can reach, their endpoints in the order they will be tried, and whether something is listening. Liveness is `listening` or `not listening` for a local endpoint, and `unknown` for TCP, which cannot be tested without connecting.
Parameters not published.
statusThe connection right now — and with a session live it makes a real round trip, so the answer is proof rather than a cached guess.
