Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.12 or higher
  • uv for dependency management (or pip)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Howe829/websearch-mcp-server.git
    cd websearch-mcp-server
    
  2. Install the dependencies using uv (Recomend):

    uv venv && uv sync
    

    Or, if you prefer using pip:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
    

Configuration

  1. Create a .env file based on the .env.example file:

    cp .env.example .env
    
  2. Modify the .env file with your desired settings:

Usage

Run the server using uv:

uv run python server.py

Or run the server using python:

source .venv/bin/activate
python server.py
